OVERVIEW:

The Pellumbas Cave, also known as the Black Cave, is an archaeological site in Albania near the village of Pellumbas. Is about an hour hike outside the village of Pellumbas, located 27 km southeast of Tirana. The cave itself is approximately 360 meters deep, and inside are impressive stalagmites and stalactites, as well as bats flying around the cave. During the World Wars, the cave was kept secret and used as a hiding spot for the villagers. In recent years, the cave has become a favorite day trip destination for both foreign and Albanian visitors.

9:00 AM - Departure Point : Tirana
09:45AM -Stop at: Cave of Pellumbas
Your morning city tour begins from Tirana to Cave of Pellumbas with a minibus for 45 min. The path is an average level and it’s marked. The forest, the Erzen River, Dajti Mountain and the view of the city of Tirana make it an unforgettable place. Hiking to the cave lasts about 1 hour. The cave is 350 meters above sea level and forms a tunnel 70-80 meters long. After exploring the Cave, we are going down to the village (around 45 min) and going back to Tirana.
PLEASE NOTE
Tours in other languages are available on request and at an additional cost. This tour does not operate during official holidays. Up to one infant under 3 years old per group can join the tour for free.
