Day 1 Kruja - Shkoder
Welcome to Tirana- our metropolitan capital! Arrival at “Mother Teresa Airport”. After breakfast, your morning tour begins with the visit to Kruja–hometown of Albanian’s National Hero rich in tradition and history. Start the visit to: The Castle – the most important defensive fortress of Albanians identity Skanderbeg Museum – a national treasure, devoted to the most important Albanian heroes. Ethnographic Museum – presents traditions throughout centuries. After the visit of the castle, is free for you to explore Kruja’s old bazaar with authentic and antique shops. Day 2 Shkoder - Valbona
This morning tour Continue to Shkodra – one of the oldest city in our country. Visit the castle of Rozafa – the impressive legend of the castle, archaeological area reach of history make your visit unforgettable. After the visit continue to Koman, a boat trip on Lake Koman is often define as one of the great boat rides of the world, passing through the artificial lake created by the hydro power stations built on Drin River. Visit to Valbona valley which is considered to be as “Albanian Miracle of Alps”. Accommodation in Valbona.
Day 3 Valbona - Prizren - Pristine
In the morning a fresh breath and short walking tour in Valbona Valley. Depart to Prizren – the second biggest city of Kosovo surrounded with beautiful nature. A short stop to Mulliri – 300 years old, continue to Xhema lake – is a natural pool of water near the Valbona village, on the left side of the road Dragobi-Valbona. Xhema Lake has very cold crystal clear water, rugged limestone cliffs and is surrounded by beech trees. Prizren offers some great religious monuments defining different faiths, with possibly the 14th century Orthodox Church of ‘Our Lady of Ljevis’ being the most important, becoming part of the UNESCO list. After breakfast we will start our tour with the visit of Pristina city – the center of cultural and artistic development of all Albanians that live in Kosovo. The most interesting monuments of the city are the monument of the national hero “Zahir Pajaziti”, Statue of Skanderbeg, Statue of Mother Theresa, National Library of Kosovo, Catholic Cathedral of Mother Theresa, New Born statue. Day 4 Pristine - Skopje
This morning depart to Skopje- the largest city of North Macedonia, known for its rich local life. It is the country’s political, cultural, economic, and academic center. Visit the Macedonian Museum, Turkish Bridge, Daut Pasha Amam. Balance of the day is at leisure to relax or explore on your own. Accommodation in Skopje.
Day 5 Skopje - Struga - Ohrid
This morning depart to visit Ohrid. On the way a short stop to visit the ancient and beautiful place of Sveti Stefan. Visit the church and continue the tour to Ohrid. Start a sightseeing tour in Ohrid. Visit to St Sophia Church, Icon Museum, Fortress of Samuel. Balance of the day is at leisure to relax or explore on your own. Accommodation in Ohrid.
Day 6 Ohrid - Pogradec - Berat
Morning departure to visit Pogradec – on the Roman via Egnatia route to the east. Drive through Elbasan (ancient Scampa) to visit the ruins of the ottoman fortress in the city center and the St. Mary Orthodox Church, and continue to Pogradec. Arrive at Lake Ohrid – the oldest and deepest lake in Europe. It is the home to a number of fish and birds found nowhere else in the world. Continue to Berat – one of the most fascinating Albanian towns with a mixture of cultural influences. Visit the pride and magnificent Castle of Berat – ancient castle with continuity of daily life inside her ancient walls! Visit to Onuphri Icon Museum – the most representative monument of post Byzantine architecture in Berat town. Accommodation in Berat.
Day 7 Berat -Durres - Tirana
Depart in the monring from Berat for the visit of Durres city. Your morning tour begins with the visit to Durres– the ancient Greco-Roman port city of Dyrrachium. Visit to the town including the Byzantine city walls, Roman amphitheater – pearl of the Balkans, the second biggest amphitheater which Romans built in the Balkans peninsula. Archaeological Museum – the richest archaeological museum with collection of historical artifacts. Continue to Tirana Taking a rest and start a walking tour with the visit of: Skanderbeg Square – dedicated to Albanian’s national hero and pedestrian space of Nowadays, The Clock Tower, The Et’hem Bey Mosque – one of the oldest buildings left in the city, National Museum, The Palace of Culture, Bunk Art2. Accommodation in Tirana.
Day 8 Tirana - Airport
Transfer to “Mother Teresa” airport for your return flight home.
