Itinerary
Day 1 Tirana
Welcome to Tirana- our metropolitan capital!
Arrival at “Mother Teresa airport”, assistance in arrival and transfer
to the hotel
Taking a rest and start a walking tour with the visit of:
Skanderbeg Square – dedicated to Albanian’s national hero and
Pedestrian space of Nowadays,
The Clock Tower – symbol of capital, which stroke every full hour.
The Et’hem Bey Mosque – one of the oldest buildings left in the city
National Museum- the largest museum in Albania contained a well-documented
History of our country
The Palace of Culture – which houses the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
Bunk Art2 – the story of the communist regime.
Afterwards, you will take an excursion to mount Dajti by cable car. You can enjoy the panoramic view from and the coastal plain.

Day 2 Tirana - Elbasan - Pogradec
Morning departure to visit Pogradec – on the Roman via Egnatia route to the east Drive through Elbasan (ancient Scampa) to visit the ruins of the ottoman fortress in the city center and the St. Mary Orthodox Church, and continue to Pogradec.
Arrive at Lake Ohrid – the oldest and deepest lake in Europe. It is the home to a number of fish and birds found nowhere else in the world.
Enjoy the lunch at local restaurant in Drilon one of the most enchanting hamlets of southeastern Albania, decorated with olive trees, and streams flowing down to the lake.

Day 3 Pogradec - Korca - Voskopoja - Korca
This morning drive to Korca Albanian’s Intellectual center and a
town with a proud cultural heritage. Visit the Archaeological Museum housed in a lovely wooden Ottoman house – the Museum of Medieval Art (seeing paintings and icons made by famous local artists).
Visit the architecturally important 15th century Mirahorit Mosque and the Old Bazaar Drive into the pine-forested mountains to the rough little rural settlement of Voskopoja – famous for its ancient Orthodox churches
and chapels adorned with unique murals.
Visit to the most interesting and accessible Church of Shen Kollit, Notable for its frescoes made by the famous Albanian painters.
Drive back to Korca.

Day 4 Korca - Gjirokastra
This morning depart to Gjirokastra known as “Stone City” with old houses lean against the slopes of the hills with their beautiful old wooden facades.
En route making a stop to a local restaurant in Permet known as “City
of Roses”.
Benja Thermal water springs is an attractive place near Permet to visit. (Optional)
After lunch continue to Gjirokastra city where the habitat houses have the form of medieval towers constituting a building ensemble with a characteristic architecture.
Visit the Castle and the Museum of Weapons opened in 1971.

Day 5 Gjirokastra - Saranda
Today you will travel to the pearl of the Albanian Riviera, Saranda the hillside town facing the sea, where you’ll find yourself at the tail end of one of the most beautiful stretches of coast in the whole Ionian Sea. Visit the magical “Blue Eye” spring, formed by underground springs and the unusual church of St. Nicholas at Mesopotam with its fine carvings of mythological beasts.
Stop for the lunch to “Lekursi Castle restaurant (built on the ruins of an old castle) which also offers the most beautiful view of the sunset.

Day 6 Saranda - Butrinti (Archaeological Site)
Today experience an included excursion to Butrinti Archaeological Site,
Visit the Temple of Aesculapius – The ancient Greek god of medicine temple
The Baptistery – the second largest building of this type in the Byzantine Empire
The Theatre – one of its most notable monuments
Roman portico and baths- the most magnificent part of the ancient city.
Christian Baptistery- the beautiful mosaic floor of the ancient Christian baptistery
Byzantine Basilica- the favorite piece of history in Butrint National Park
Nymph- a fountain built for the water nymphs in form of a temple with apses.
Defense Wall- demonstrates the importance of the place in times past.
The Acropolis- the highest part of the hill inside the site
Enjoy the lunch in any of sea view restaurants of Saranda city
In the afternoon depart to visit the “Blue Eyes” – formed by underground springs.
Balance of the day is at leisure to relax or explore on your own.

Day 7 Saranda - Himara - Dhermi - Vlora
After breakfast drive up to Albanian Riviera.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ionian coast beaches lapped by crystalline waters.
Drive along traditional stone villages as Borsh,
Himara and stop for a delicious seafood lunch in any of our coastal villages.
On the way from Saranda a short visit to the bay of Porto Palermo where the castle of Ali Pasha is situated.

Day 8 Vlora - Apollonia - Ardenica - Berat
Morning tour takes you to the coastal Albanian Riviera route to Vlora.
Nearby the clock tower, in the center of Vlora, there are the Independence Monument, the Museum of History and the Museum
Of Ethnography.
Our tour will continue to Archeological Park of Apollonia – an ancient Greek colony city and former bishopric in Illyria.
After the visit to Apollonia proceed to Ardenica – where is a medieval monastery surrounded by stonewalls.
Here you will admire Marry Church and Saint Triadha Chapel.
After the visit to Apollonia continue to Berat – the other one “Museum City”.

Day 9 Berat - Durres - Shkoder
A morning tour of marvelous city of Berat -one of the most fascinating Albanian towns with a mixture of cultural influences.
Visit the pride and magnificent Castle of Berat – ancient castle with continuity of daily life inside her ancient walls!
Visit to Onuphri Icon Museum – the most representative monument
of post Byzantine architecture in Berat town.
Continue your journey among the vineyards to discover and taste authentic wines of Berat city.
Winery tour: Tasting authentic Albanian wine accompanied with traditional lighter appetizers in one of the most well-known wineries
in Berat city. (Optional)
The route continues to Durres – the ancient Greco-Roman port city of Dyrrachium.
Visit to the town including the Byzantine city walls,
Roman amphitheater – pearl of the Balkans, the second biggest amphitheater which Romans built in the Balkans peninsula
Archaeological Museum – the richest archaeological museum with collection of historical artifacts.

Day 10 Shkodra - Kruja - Tirana
Today you will visit Shkodra the cultural capital of Albania, rich in art, culture and history.
Continue to Shkodra – one of the oldest city in our country
Visit the castle of Rozafa – the impressive legend of the castle,
Archaeological area reach of history make your visit unforgettable.
Continue to Kruja the great view of majestic landscape and a rich collection of historical and cultural artifacts.
Traditional lunch at local restaurant in the fortress of Kruja
After the lunch start the visit to: Albanian heroes.

Skanderbeg Museum – a national treasure, devoted to the most important
